Meet the 21-year-old British woman who only eats junk food

Twenty-one-year-old Faye Campbell of Stowmarket, England claims to have never eaten fruits or vegetables in her life.

"The thought of eating vegetables or any sort of fruit just makes me feel physically sick," she tells the Daily Mail. "Even putting them near my mouth terrifies me."

An extremely picky eater as a baby, Campbell says she grew up eating nothing but french fries until the age of 15. At that time, her mother, fed up with her daughter unhealthy eating habits, sought the help of a psychologist until Campbell was able to stomach pizza, burgers and cheese.

Her current diet since consists of toast for breakfast, a large pizza from Dominos for lunch and a cheeseburger with fries for dinner. And she can only handle potatoes in the form of fries.

"I still can't bring myself to eat a roast or a home-made lasagna. It took me a good couple of years to get used to the other foods and I'm still fussy with that," she says.

Her extreme fussiness stems from a medical condition called gastroesophageal reflex, which she developed as a child. It causes chronic indigestion and heartburn, which left herin agony after eating. Because of her pain, she eventually developed another rare medical condition called lachanophobia -- an irrational fear of eating vegetables.

“There’s just something in my brain that says ‘ugh’ whenever I’m faced with new food and I go in to panic mode," she explains. "As soon as the phobia kicks in I just can’t bring myself to eat – I can’t even think about taking a bite.”

Her lachnaophobia is so extreme that she cannot even be in the same room as her mother if she is cooking a dinner with vegetables.

"Sometimes I have to open all the windows to get rid of [the smell]. My family wish I could sit with them and have a meal together, but I just can’t."

Campbell's love life has also taken a hit due to her restricted diet. A man once tried to take her on a date to a classy Italian restaurant and they ended up at McDonald's.

Yet despite her unhealthy eating habits, she weighs an astonishingly average 138 pounds.

Campbell is far from the first person with an extremely unhealthy diet who still maintains an average weight.

A 64-year-old Utah man claims he has been eating 10 Big Macs a week for the last 30 years.

And a 105-year-old Texas woman credits eating bacon everyday as the secret to her longevity.
