Kate Middleton twirls hair while watching Remembrance Day ceremony

The Duchess of Cambridge has come under fire after being caught twirling her hair at a Remembrance Day ceremony on Sunday.

The 31-year old Kate Middleton was snapped absentmindedly twirling her hair and smiling at Princess Sophie while standing on a balcony as she paid tribute to fallen troops at a government ceremony.

Critics are raising questions about how appropriate it is for the future Queen of England to appear disinterested and bored by such a symbolically important moment.

Though lucky for Middleton, her style seemed to win them over. Media took note of her thrifty outfit, appearing in a stunning quilted navy front coat and James Lock & Co beret that she first wore during the St. Patrick's Day Parade in March.

As she looked on, smiling at the crowds below, her husband Prince William laid wreaths at the foot of the monument, joined by Prince Harry, Prince Edward, the Queen and Prince Philip.

William included a touching note for two fallen British military members killed in 2007 that he knew personally.
