Hot dog stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut available in Canada

For those who thought the Canadian National Exhibition's donut cheeseburger represented the zenith of artery-clogging insanity, well… you may be right.

But Pizza Hut's new Hot Dog Stuffed Crust pizza isn't likely to catapult atop any healthy living guides either.

According to a company press release, the Hut's food engineers have devised a way to stuff an entire Angus beef hot dog into their famously stuffable crust. And because nothing goes better with pizza than ballgame condiments, the specialty pie comes with a generous serving of Heinz Ketchup Dip and Squeeze and Heinz Honey Mustard Dip on the side.

"The innovative chefs at Pizza Hut have taken two classic favourites - pizza and hot dogs - and found a delicious way for them to be enjoyed together!" says Beverley D'Cruz, director of marketing at Pizza Hut Canada.

One place that certainly hasn't missed this culinary invention is the U.K. In fact, thanks to the enthusiastic reception this pizza received in the British Isles that Pizza Hut decided to bring their take on pigs in a blanket to Canada.

Pizza Hut locations rolled out the newest addition to their menu on Monday and you can discover whether this is a pairing that needs to mingle in your digestive tract until Nov. 25. The specialty pizza will not be available after this date.
