A controversial Diesel ad is causing a bit of stir among Twitter users.
The ad is part of the company's unconventional campaign called Diesel Reboot, which uses "real" people from Tumblr to model the company's clothing. Other ads include an androgynous looking model and a plus-size model.
The controversial ad in question features a topless model sporting a sleeve of arm tattoos while wearing a black burka. The tagline reads: "I am not what I appear to be."

It was designed by the company's artistic director, Nicola Formichetti, who was Lady Gaga’s stylist until moving to Diesel this past April.
Predictably, not everyone has positive things to say about the ad.
"Oh right, so you're not an attention seeking brand trying desperately to compete with the vogue for outrage? #DieselFelicity Morse, a journalist at the The Independent.," tweets
"Diesel Jeans new ad featuring woman in niqab. Trying too hard to be 'edgy' and 'current,'" tweets Shireen Ahmed, a self-declared hijab-clad soccer player.
"Long dreaded the day that 'THE VEIL' wld become so subversive that capitalism wld just consume it. Then this Diesel ad," tweets Sana Saeed, senior editor at Islawmix.
"Oh dear, srsly, what were Maiella.thinking when they produced that burka ad? Not just offensive but LAME. My cat's more creative," tweets
