‘Attractive & Fat’ fake ads mock Abercrombie & Fitch

It appears the Abercrombie & Fitch haters are out in full force again, ensuring this story never dies.

Last week we reported one man's unique way of protesting the clothing retailer for comments made by CEO Mike Jeffries about only wanting cool, thin and popular people to wear his company's clothes. Writer Greg Karber responded by giving away Abercrombie & Fitch clothes to homeless people on L.A.'s Skid Row.

Well this week, blogger Jes M. Baker posted a series of fake Abercrombie & Fitch ads featuring herself and male model John C. Shay. The ads are titled "Attractive & Fat" and include sexy poses of her in a company T-shirt with their logo prominently displayed.

“I challenge the separation of attractive and fat, and I assert that they are compatible regardless of what you believe,” Baker writes on her blog in a letter to Jeffries.

"Your opinion isn't shocking; millions share the same sentiment. You've used your wealth and public platform to echo what many already say."

And at the very end of a long and digging letter,
Baker writes, "P.P.S. You should know your large T-shirt comfortably fits a size 22. You might want to work on that."

It's worth noting that following various forms of public outcry, Jeffies offered a public apology last week -- if you can call it that.

What are your thoughts on these Abercrombie & Fitch mock ads? What about the controversy in general, including Jeffies' offending statements?
