Ann Taylor photoshop disaster

Ann Taylor needs new photo retouchers. Stat.

In 2010, Ann Taylor was given the unfortunate nickname "Ann Failure" when a series of horribly edited images hit the clothier's website.

Jezebel featured the "insanity" here.

The fashion-distortion lesson was not learned, apparently, with another poorly edited image surfacing this month.

No Photoshop detector needed here. This one's pretty obvious.

In what should be an ad for a long lace dress is instead a distracting anatomy-gone-wrong Photoshop disaster.

See the original offending image on the Ann Taylor site.

The unsubtly named site Photoshop Disasters found the uncomfortable image in which a model's leg appears to be hinged at a non-joint location.

If the dress makes my foot "veer radically to the right" as it does in the photo, I have zero interest in the otherwise sophisticated dress. Yes, Photoshop's "idealized" image just backfired.

Taylor Swift's makeup ads were banned for their excessive retouching. Maybe it's time to ditch the computer-generated models and limb-manipulated images, too.
