What Would You Do If Someone Called Your Kid Ugly?

Even though I love her, I just started following Tia Mowry on Facebook yesterday. Don't ask what took so long - I have no idea.

As I was looking at her page, though, I couldn't help but notice one of the top posts:

Apparently, Tia was addressing malicious people who've been saying her baby boy Cree is "ugly." Can you believe that? I actually think Cree is a cutie, so I couldn't believe people were actually saying it either. But I quickly found out how shallow people can be.

"Wow that baby is ugly. What the hell happened. Both parents are attractive. Just don't get it."

"THIS BABY IS NOT CUTE. MAYBE LATER HE WILL GROW INTO CUTENESS. IT GOES TO SHOW EVEN THOUGH ONE OF YOUR PARENTS ARE CUTE YOU CAN STILL HAVE A UGLY BABY."

Seriously, who says this stuff? I was literally in shock reading some of the comments about Cree and then I started to get angry for Tia. How dare people speak so badly about her child's appearance? He is a happy, healthy baby - isn't that what matters?

Even though I think it's a shame that she even had to write the post, I commend Tia for standing up to these rude people hiding behind their anonymous comments. Tia is blessed with a precious little boy, she is an awesome mom and shame on anyone for trying to take her happiness away by calling her child ugly.

Have you ever had to deal with someone saying your kid isn't cute? How do you deal?
