“Downton Abbey” Star Michelle Dockery Flashes Sideboob at SAG Awards
We know her as Lady Mary Crawley on the British TV series "Downton Abbey," but actress Michelle Dockery ditched her uptight, period piece threads for quite a racy gown at Sunday night's Screen Actor's Guild Awards. Gliding down the red carpet in her black vintage Chado Ralph Rucci gown, we felt Dockery looked fairly conservative. Why the high neckline? But as she turned to pose for cameras we gasped-Lady Mary was showing side boob!
It turns out the bust of Dockery's gown had deep side cutouts, where the opaque silk fabric was replaced with sheer, illusion mesh panels. The sexy dress left little to the imagination as Dockery's beautiful, braless bosom was captured by every camera on the red carpet and onstage as she accepted an award for best ensemble cast: drama.
Designer Ralph Rucci may not be a household name, but he's dressed many a celeb on the red carpet and been included in countless museum exhibits. Rucci attended the Fashion Institute of America and trained under Halston and a Balenciaga pattern maker. He launched his line in 1994 and has presented his collection at New York Fashion Week ever since 1999, where his gowns are regarded as incredibly luxurious and impeccably crafted. So Dockery had no need to worry about using double-sided sticky boob tape--that gown was staying put.
