Kaa from The Jungle Book
A slithering line-up of snakeskin covered muses walked the runway at Chloé. Blue, green and brown scaled looks nodded to the clever and cute Kaa from The Jungle Book. Feeling hypnotized? The coveted print was a favourite amongst many designers who escaped into the wild for their fall inspiration.

Carmen Sandiego
Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? There's no need to ask. She was tracked down at the Gucci show which had a flurry of Carmen copy cats. The wide-brimmed fedoras, long coats, and scarves, not to mention the aura of sinister mystery, had us playing 'Where's Carmen?' But low and behold we found the cool cat.

Eloise
Vodka, caviar and a smoking Kate Moss! This is not what Eloise would expect from a posh fashion show. The classic children's book character's look was spotted on the runway at Louis Vuitton with sweetheart collars and prim ensembles. With the gilded elevator and slick tiled catwalk, the show might as well have been at the Plaza.

Fantastic Mr. Fox
Mary-Kate, Ashley… and Wes Anderson? Mr. Fox was definitely on the prowl at The Row's, ahem, fantastic Fall show - that unforgettable marigold suit looks like it has been borrowed straight from the animal's tree house closet.

101 Dalmatians
Cruella de Vil's words must have been echoing in the heads of Topshop's design team - wasn't she the first to say that Dalmatian fur would make for a beautiful coat? The Topshop furs are faux and thus not so villainous, but with their ear-like pigtails the models could easily have been Pongo, Perdy and their 99 precious puppies.

Tintin
Tintin may have earned his stripes covering World War II, but if Phillip Lim has anything to say about it, he's in fashion now. Here, the intrepid reporter appears in his telltale utilitarian overcoat… all that is missing is his loyal terrier, Snowy.

Daphne and Velma of Scooby-Doo
The original Mods of the cartoon universe, Velma and Daphne of the '60s made their long-awaited comeback on Mulberry's runway and kicked it up a notch with saturated colours fit for 3-D. Ready to solve a mystery? All we need now is Scooby-Doo himself.

Madeline
Madeline, in her peter pan pinafore and yellow slicker, looks the part of a demure schoolgirl yet fools no one with her precocious attitude. Fit for this tiny childhood heroine, Carven's pintucks and lace look modest, but allow for plenty of that famous Parisian sass.

Inspector Gadget
Ferragamo's grey trenches looked as though they could have been stuffed full of gadgets galore. Though the wearers were top models and not the Inspector himself, they were equipped with bright lips and some expertly coordinated accessories. Go-go-fashion-gadget!
