    8 Symptoms You Shouldn’t Ignore

    8 Symptoms You Shouldn’t Ignore

All it takes is five minutes on the internet to diagnose yourself with some sort of deadly disease. You’re not alone; everyone’s felt a bit of paranoia when it comes to their aches and pains. Instead of panicking every time you have a headache, learn which signs and symptoms should actually make you book an appointment with a health professional.

    1. Abnormal Moles
What should you keep an eye out for when it comes to your skin? Examine yourself head to toe and keep an eye out for moles that are asymmetrical, have border irregularity, colour changes, a large diameter or anything that’s seems to have morphed over the past few months.

    2. Blurry Eyesight
If your vision is blurry or cloudy, you may just need to update your prescription. But it could also be a sign of a more serious health condition from cataracts to an infection. Make sure you have your eyes examined by a professional at least once a year and if there are any changes in vision between visits, make sure to book an appointment ASAP.

    3. Feeling Down
Everyone gets down in the dumps once in a while but if your mood has been consistently low, you’re lacking energy or you’ve lost motivation to work or see friends you should talk to a doctor.

    4. Extreme Exhaustion
If you’re overstressed and hitting the snooze button on repeat you’re not alone in our overworked world. But if it’s an ongoing complaint, you could be suffering from medication side effects or chronic fatigue syndrome and should speak with a professional.

    5. Chronic Stomachaches
Stomach upset caused by certain foods can be curtailed by keeping a food diary. But chronic nausea, diarrhea and constipation can all be signs of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or serious diseases such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Before you self-medicate, check in with a pro.

    6. Headaches
It might seem like a pounding headache is the end of the world. Head pains range from sinus headaches to tension headaches to migraines. If the pain is severe and frequent hit the doctor’s office and describe your symptoms to make sure you’re in the norm.

    7. Dizziness
The world spinning can be temporarily unsettling but it’s usually nothing more than a result of certain medications or a lack of blood flow to your brain when standing up quickly. Long-term feelings of vertigo though can be a sign of infection, disease or even anxiety disorders so you should ask a doctor for help.

    8. Weight Gain
Sometimes all the dieting in the world can’t control your weight. If you’ve been packing on the pounds and are following a diet and exercise regimen check in with an expert to check your hormone levels, thyroid or the side effects of medications you may be on.

Weight loss was the only sign that the docs paid attention to when my husband was sick... he had cancer, they kept telling him that he was getting old! He was dead with in a week of diagnosis. His moles were changing shapes, his lungs were wheezy and he was in pain... his doctor said he was getting old. He died at 64. Watch out for your own health. Ask questions, get tested.

Viv, I'm sorry you lost your husband. He was getting old at 64? I'm 61 and I'll be 75 before I'll allow a doctor to tell me I'm "getting old" although they already ignore me.

Thrroid is a big one. And if you are tired and sleeping during the day , and can hear your heart beating, you may have a problem . It took me a year to get help for this problem. Jump on top and ask for the blood test if you haven t had one. For woman after 40 ,keep it in mind.On you check list . Good luck.
