Hit a few festivals, or even better, volunteer at them. Huge crowds = scores of single men and easy chatting opportunities since you’ll already share interests and besides: it’ll be cramped and you’ll practically be sitting on each other’s knees anyway.

Amusement Park
Looking for younger lads? Groups of single guys hit up amusement parks in the summer like packs of thrill-seeking dogs. Pretend to be scared on the roller coaster and see who leans in to comfort you.
The Apple Store
Allow me to generalize a bit: Guys love gadgets - all of them. Hang around the latest iPads, check out the latest apps, see who wanders into eyeshot, then amaze them with your technical wizardry (or ask for a few tips). Note: If they are buying premium devices, they are likely employed, too. Win!

Dog Parks
The dog needs walking and you need a man friend, right? Take pooch somewhere you know there will be lots of other singles. But take note – the poop and scoop has been known to be a passion killer.
Museums
Escape the heat and seek out Mr. Hot in the comfort of air con. A good option for finding someone smart and interesting, and also someone boring if you don’t pick an exhibition that intrigues you.

Political Rally or Protest
Meet a man who’s getting hot under the collar about something he’s passionate about. You might find someone with a shared interest, while showing him you’re more than just a pretty face.
Weddings
You’re already looking pretty fine in your party dress and make-up, and if your friends/family are thoughtful about seating plans, you might end up sitting next to an eligible sweetie. Dress up, peruse the talent – and get fed and watered for free.

Summer Camp
If you’re a grown-up reading this, you may have fond memories of tender summer camp hook-ups. The free time, the pleasantly confined quarters, the tanned skin – all combine to make romantic situations flourish. Grown-ups can still work/volunteer at camps, but for the post-secondary crowd, our versions of camp can include yoga/meditation retreats, group expeditions and other getaways!
The Pool
Skimpy clothing, beach bars and splashing around go hand-in-hand with summer. Outdoor pools are great places to show off your beach bod and flirt by pushing each other in.

A Summer Sports League
Join a team and try something new. Summer’s a great time to be near the water so get hot and sweaty at beach volleyball or water polo, and you can guarantee this guy will not be a dull couch potato (in the summer, at least). Looking for a guy with great legs? Try soccer. Great arms? Head on over to basketball (just make sure you are at least somewhat proficient in the sport, too!).
